17th Century, winter is looming over a lost mountain village. The young Elk, son of the village chief, suffers from an apparently incurable disease. One day, the adults leave the village looking for a doctor, leaving him and his peers alone. In the meantime, a baleful and ancient presence begins to torment them and Elk mysteriously seems the only one able to face it.

The director: Giacomo Talamini

Giacomo Talamini was born in 1982. In 2009 he made the independent ano-budget film “MGS: Philanthropy”, inspired by the videogame “Metal Gear Solid” and which has become a worldwide web phenomenon. Since 2012 he’s chaired Hive Division, a national production, digital effects and VR company. “The Flame” is his first short film as a director
