The meeting will focus on transformations of the fantastic and sci-fi genre in recent years. On one hand, genre cinema is trying to chase the political, social and scientific innovations that have recently emerged, on the other hand television seems to have taken up the legacy of the big screen for its ability to comment on the present through future dystopias, as in Black Mirror. An overview and a popular analysis will allow us to orient ourselves in an often chaotic but very vital production: as always the fantastic is the prism through which to understand the reality that surrounds us.
