The laboratory will involve students in the creating a puppet character animation, starting from a drawing and using plasticine to shape the puppet. There puppet animation is a typically used technique to animate puppets, models or puppets within a setting or a setting specially re-created scenography. With the help of experts in the field, children will have fun at model the character with all the tools of the craft!

The teachers: Arianna Gheller and Matteo Burani

Arianna Gheller is a professional in the field of Stop-Motion animation. He graduated from the Center Experimental of Cinematography of Turin where he experiments the various techniques of animation cinema e decides to specialize in stop-motion by pursuing research on puppet making and principles animation. Join Studio Croma in 2017 as an animator and VFX artist. Matteo Burani works as a character designer and puppet fabricator in Bologna. You graduate at the Academy of Fine Arts where he focuses on figurative painting. He infuses these with his pictorial experiences and artistic research in the field of Stop-Motion animation and puppet making, offering a point of view unique to the film industry. He is co-founder of the Studio Croma animation studio, where since 2013 he works as character designer and puppet fabricator.
