The Online Edition of Fantastic Visions continues with Blue Riding Hood by Fabio Falzarano, presented within the 18+ International Competition of the first edition of the Festival. We thank the director and the entire crew of the film for having joined our proposal inspired by the slogan #laculturanonsiferma (“culture does not stop”), agreeing to make their work available online for free for one week.

The wolf, a devious inhabitant of the “concrete forest” of a noir city, is chased by the hunter, a representative of the law who follows him after the murder of Little Red Riding Hood’s father. Corroded internally by the regret of the fatal mistake, the Wolf has been trying for years to relieve the pain with some pills called “blue dreams”, which free his mind from a previous fatal mistake that haunts him: that of his own inability to look after himself. Three children, lost forever in the forest stream. A close encounter with Grimm, his drug dealer, will reveal to the Wolf the possibility of meeting the now grown-up Little Red Riding Hood, which he will use as a cover to escape the threat of the hunter. Both the Wolf and the Adult Girl are unaware of each other’s past, a fatal mistake on the girl’s part, which like the original version of Charles Perrault’s fable, will encounter a not-so-happy ending due to her blindness to the real dangers of life.
